UNITY FASHION SHOW
"INDIVIDUALLY UNIQUE, UNIFIED AS ONE"
Annually, in collaboration with The Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity at Northeastern University, Jennifer Chen hosts the Unity Fashion Show. As an undergraduate student of the College of Business Administration and as an entrepreneur, Jennifer founded Unity Fashion Show in 2009 with the support of The Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity. As a College of Business student with a dual concentration in Marketing and Accounting and a minor in Communication Studies, she utilized her business knowledge and skills to build the reputable brand and event, Unity Fashion Show.
On March 25, 2011, she presented the 3rd Annual Unity Fashion Show at Northeastern University's Ballroom with participating sponsors from The Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity and Vitamin Water Zero. Models from New York and Massachusetts were dressed in the latest fashions designed by our student and local designers from Massachusetts, New York and Florida. Hair and make-up artistry were provided by Harry Jefferson, Allie Pitilli, Pamela Richard, Kyra Hunter, and Nancy Brandao. Musical entertainment and vocal performances by DJ Commanda Panda, Khary Durgans and Lynda DeFuria were also included throughout the evening, along with free giveaways and gift cards from our designers, photographers, and local businesses.
Prior to the show, a reception was held for guests as they enjoy the crafted work of jewelry vendor: T*Racy Design and the opportunity to have their photographs taken by our photographers: Greg Caparell, D.Irvin, Iggy Barskov, Ze Photography, and David Tran.

Unity Fashion Show’s mission is to highlight dimensions of diversity by displaying the artistic talents of high school and college students, along with local designers, performers, and models. The show embraces all that makes us individuals; differences in community background and affiliation, in addition to preferences in style and fashion.
